WWII and Vietnam Veterans Visit Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial
Some moments stay with you.
April 27 was one of those days at Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial.
We had the honor of welcoming an extraordinary group of Veterans from World War II and Vietnam whose courage helped secure the very freedoms we enjoy today.
Among them were Curt Davidson, U.S. Navy, WWII, Tom Lacy, U.S. Army, WWII, and Dave Marlo, U.S. Marine Corps, Vietnam.
A Powerful Moment at America’s Wall
As these Veterans stood before America’s Wall, something powerful happened.
They shared that being here felt more personal than visiting the Wall in Washington, D.C. There was a sense of peace and something more.
A sense of being welcomed home.
The Power of Community
What stood out most to them was the community.
They noticed the crowd. The people who came simply to say, “Thank you.” The handshakes. The quiet moments of respect.
And they were deeply grateful.
Why This Matters
Moments like this do not happen by accident.
They happen because people believe our Veterans deserve more than remembrance. They deserve connection.
At our National Memorial, we strive to create a place where Veterans are not only honored but truly welcomed, seen, and appreciated.
Because of You
Support from people like you makes these moments possible.
It turns a visit into something unforgettable. Something healing. Something worthy of the sacrifices made.
As time passes, opportunities to gather with Veterans from these eras become more rare. That is why moments like this matter so much.
And why your support matters.
Their words are a reminder of why our National Memorial exists and why this mission continues today.
