Wreath Laying Ceremony at Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial

Moments like our Wreath Laying Ceremony remind us of the importance of coming together to honor service, remember sacrifice, and teach future generations the value of freedom. This annual tradition was a meaningful way to close out the year at Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial.

Each year, our Wreath Laying Ceremony reflects the mission of Wreaths Across America: to remember and honor America’s fallen heroes, recognize those who currently serve, and teach future generations why freedom matters.

Remember. Honor. Teach.

Supporters, Veterans, families, and community members gathered on our Memorial campus for a powerful moment of reflection and remembrance. Together, we paused to honor the lives and sacrifices of those who served and to ensure their stories continue to be shared with future generations.

Honoring Service at the Honor Flag Memorial

We were especially honored to have active-duty service members participate in the ceremony by laying wreaths at the Knee Wall in our Honor Flag Memorial, where the remains of Veterans have been laid to rest. Their presence served as a powerful reminder of the lasting connection between past and present service.

We extend our sincere thanks to the service members who took part:

  • Technical Sergeant Cynthia True, United States Space Force

  • Staff Sergeant Kaden Lindal, United States Space Force

  • Corporal Ryn Petrowske, United States Marine Corps

A Community United in Remembrance

Moments like these remind our Veterans that they are Never Forgotten, and they remind all of us of the strength that comes from community. When people gather with gratitude and purpose, remembrance becomes something deeply shared.

We are grateful to everyone who attended the ceremony, sponsored wreaths, volunteered their time, and supported this meaningful event. Because of you, Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial remains a place of honor, reflection, and education for generations to come.
