Kids Day on Independence Day
More than 100 visitors spent part of their Independence Day at Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial, joining us for our annual Kids Day celebration.
There is something special about watching children experience the National Memorial for the first time. As they explore America’s Wall, ask thoughtful questions, and learn about the men and women whose names are engraved there, they begin to understand an important lesson: freedom isn’t free.
Throughout the day, families enjoyed activities designed to make history engaging and meaningful while encouraging conversations about military service, sacrifice, and the importance of remembering those who served our nation.
Events like Kids Day are an important part of our mission. They help connect younger generations with the stories of America’s Veterans and ensure their service and sacrifice are never forgotten.
We are grateful to everyone who chose to spend part of their Fourth of July with us. Whether it was your first visit or your fiftieth, thank you for helping make the day so special.
Most importantly, thank you to our supporters. Your generosity makes programs like Kids Day possible and allows us to continue providing educational experiences for families throughout the year.
