Inaugural Run to Remember 5K & Walk Brings Community Together to Honor Veterans

On Saturday, July 18, 2026, Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial welcomed runners, walkers, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters for our inaugural Run to Remember 5K & Walk of Remembrance. What began as a new event quickly became a meaningful day of remembrance, community, and gratitude.

More than 125 runners participated in the 5K, while over 60 walkers joined the Walk of Remembrance. Together, participants of all ages gathered to honor the brave men and women who served our nation and to ensure their sacrifices are Never Forgotten.

The Memorial was filled with energy, encouragement, and patriotic spirit as participants crossed the finish line, cheered one another on, and reflected on the true purpose of the day. It was inspiring to see so many people come together in support of our Veterans.

Events like this are made possible through the generosity of our community. We extend our sincere gratitude to our Event Sponsors, volunteers, timing crew, and everyone who participated. Your support helped make our inaugural Run to Remember a tremendous success.
