William F. Cissell
US Army
SERVED: 1942 – 1945
Memory from a Loved One:
He was a great Dad. He was severely wounded in Belgium and spent over a year in hospitals overseas and in the US. He had pain and PTSD most of his life.
He did not talk much about the war. The only story he told was the night he and 200 other men were sent in to route Nazis out of a village; in the morning, only he and 19 others walked out.
He loved his country and his family. I am so proud of him.
