My Dad was a Seabee in the Navy at age 17 when they landed at Okinawa. He served in the Army in Korea. He never shared about the bad stuff; he would only talk about it when there was a life lesson for me to learn or if there was a laugh to be shared. My dad was a great American and a better father. And he married my mom, he was a very smart man!  –Richard R. Myrick
